Sports

We will gain an understanding of the physical, mental, and social benefits of sports.
A variety of sports will be used to accomplish our goals.

  • Football
  • Basketball
  • Soccer
  • Baseball
  • Hockey

Which of these sports are you most anxious to try and why?

Any sport not listed that you would like to do in class post it and explain why.

Preparing for Class

This is to be done prior to formal instruction.
Stretching should be done first.
Static stretch (stretch and hold) all major body parts for 30 seconds.
Stretch smaller body parts after larger ones.
Be careful not to overextend.
Make sure you understand the days activities and stretch the associated body parts.
Once completed, relax and mentally prepare. Visualize success.

  • No horseplay
  • No food in the Gym
  • Only water in a plastic bottle allowed
  • Proper gym attire required
